​A walk from Fairfield Shopping Centre to Wellington Ave. and back via Fairfield Rd.

Nine Canramblers had a pleasant walk today in the west Ross Bay neighbourhood. Unexpectedly, there was no rain or wind, as we surveyed the housing mix in the area with an emphasis on “Craftsman” style dwellings. We spotted quite a few that seemed to fall within the style but, of course, none were identical. That seems to be the norm in many Victoria neighbourhoods – often a “Heinz 57” look. Also, many yards had added individual whimsical touches.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions the CanRamblers are not walking at the present time.

Our provincial health minister Adrian Dix and the Provincial Health Officer  Dr. Bonnie Henry have banned all group activities both indoors and outdoors at least until January 2021 or beyond TBD.   Canada has finally started the vaccine distribution and we are hopeful that this will bring an end to the pandemic eventually.  In the meantime stay safe and stay well.  Now go and wash your hands.
