Finally, the CanRamblers walking group is returning to a NEW normal!
The above photo shows Wenche before her walking problem started. We all wish her good health and a return to good walking again.
This web page is being re-started mostly for those of you who are not connected to Facebook. For those of you who are signed up to Facebook, you are seeing the weekly updates that are made by Colin.
I totally understand that there are many reasons not to subscribe to Facebook, especially when that platform of social media has such a bad reputation for hosting extreme and false information.
To be clear...there have been organized walks for some time held by two smaller groups of walkers, They have been walking in small groups of less than eight persons.
I haven't seen reports of those walks, so I can only start adding to this web page from this time.
October 6th 2021 A walk along the Westsong Walkway
A good sized group of the CanRamblers met along Kimta Rd. in Esquimalt and walked along the Westsong Walkway . After that walk they went to the Canoe Club Pub. That pub is scheduled to close for a complete renovation, so they decided to visit it one more time before it closes.

October 13th 2021 A walk at Mt. Douglas park
The group walked one of the trails in Mt. Douglas Park, and then went to Maude Hunter's Pub. Nobody submitted a report for this walk, but I did receive a photo of the large group at the pub.

October 20th 2021 A visit to Royal Roads
The group parked near the John Stubbs School in Colwood and walked through the "Bus Only" entrance to the Royal Roads, avoiding the long hill of the main driveway into the grounds and also avoiding the pay parking on the college grounds. The weather was a bit dark and showery at times, but the rain stopped as it usually does for the walking group's activities. The group went to the Country Rose Pub after the walk.

The group met at the parking lot near the corner of Tillicum and Gorge Road and walked along the park path towards ....and then back. Lunch was at the 4 Mile Pub.
