January 4th 2023  The Selkirk Trestle walk   First walk of 2023. Met at uptown walked the goose to the Selkirk trestle at the Gorge then back to Browns Social House for lunch.

January 11th 2023  The Ed Nixon Trail   This time the group parked on Goldstream Avenue near the entrance to the trail and started the walk.  Part of the trail was closed so this was a short walk.  They went to Darcy's pub for lunch this time.

January 25th 2023  A walk to the Ogden Point Breakwater.  The group parked near MacDonald Park and walked to the breakwater and out to the end and back, then drove to the Bent Mast Pub in James Bay for lunch.

February 1st 2023  Francis King Regional Park  The group walked some of the trails in this interesting regional park.  They went to the Six Mile Pub for lunch.

February 15th 2023  A walk around Rithet's Bog.  Thanks to Karon for taking these wonderful photos of the scenery and wildlife at the bog.

February 22nd 2023  Walking the Bowker Creek Trail, and parts of Oak Bay.  This timed the group walked through the Bowker Creek Trail and made a large loop through oak Bay and back to the starting point.

​March 1st 2023 Walking the Colwood Creek Trail  On a cold and snowy March 1st the group went out and walked a loop of the Colwood Creek trail and part of the Galloping Goose Trail  After the walk they went to Turmeric Restaurant for lunch.

March 8th 2023  A walk around the town of Sidney was the activity of the day this time.  Then lunch at the Small Gods Brewing company on Third Street.

March 15th 2023 A walk around Beacon Hill park was the plan for this date.  Then off to the Beagle pub for lunch.

March 22nd 2023  A walk through the Cuthbert Holmes Park was what the walking group did this time.  Parts of the path were muddy, but I think that they enjoyed the walk anyway.  Those who wore sandals weren't so lucky.    They went to the Brown's Social House in Vic West for lunch this time.

March 29 2023 This walk was along the Esquimalt lagoon waterfront to see the driftwood sculptures.
They later went to Hardy's restaurant in Colwood.

April 5th 2023  A walk through Fort Rodd Hill.  The group had a good turnout for this walk through the historic park.  They later went to The Rose Pub for lunch.

April 12th 2023  Walking around the path at the Juan De Fuca recreation centre.  Starting near the front corner of the library the group walked the path clockwise that goes around the back of the golf course and back to the  starting point. A nice walk that takes about an hour to walk.

April 19th 2023  A hike up the Partridge Hills trail at Durrance lake.  Interesting and challenging walk at Durrance Lake today.  The hail was very heavy and made for a slippery walk. Made even more so when I decided Google maps was taking us back to the car park. Which it did but seemed to have led us of the main trail.  We all made it back but some of us had a few slips and muddy clothes.  The group went to Brewsky's Pub for lunch.

April 26th 2023  Walking the many trails of 10 Mile Point.   Thanks to Martin for leading this interesting walk through the many trails of the area where he lives.  There are certainly lots of hidden
paths and trails in this beautiful part of the island.  The group went to the Smugglers Cove Pub for lunch.
