January 11th 2023 The Ed Nixon Trail This time the group parked on Goldstream Avenue near the entrance to the trail and started the walk. Part of the trail was closed so this was a short walk. March 22nd 2023 A walk through the Cuthbert Holmes Park was what the walking group did this time. Parts of the path were muddy, but I think that they enjoyed the walk anyway. April 12th 2023 Walking around the path at the Juan De Fuca recreation centre. Starting near the front corner of the library the group walked the path clockwise that goes around the back of the golf course and back to the starting point. April 19th 2023 A hike up the Partridge Hills trail at Durrance lake. Interesting and challenging walk at Durrance Lake today. The hail was very heavy and made for a slippery walk. Made even more so when I decided Google maps was taking us back to the car park. Which it did but seemed to have led us of the main trail. April 26th 2023 Walking the many trails of 10 Mile Point. Thanks to Martin for leading this interesting walk through the many trails of the area where he lives. There are certainly lots of hidden paths and trails in this beautiful part of the island. The group went to the Smugglers Cove Pub for lunch.
